Gerry has over 30 years of civil litigation experience, in a variety of insurance, disability and employment related areas, including: personal injury (Motor Vehicle / Slip and Falls / SABs / Priority & Loss Transfer ), disability, property/casualty, products liability, subrogation, coverage and employment claims.
He has appeared as litigation counsel in all levels of court and various adminstrative tribunals in Ontario, as well as at the Supreme Court of Canada. He has also actively employed mediation and other alternative dispute resolution processes to resolve disputes on behalf of his clients for many years.
Gerry received his formal mediation training at CDR Associates in Boulder, Colorado and arbitration training from the Arbitration & Mediation Institute of Ontario.
Beginning in 2012, Gerry began mediating insurance related disputes throughout Ontario. He also acts as an arbitrator in priority dispute and loss transfer matters.
Gerry is originally from the Maritimes but attended university and law school in Ottawa before moving to Toronto to commence his legal career in 1984. He now lives in Oakville.
